So here she is in her costume as Edward, the 14 year old bell boy on the Titanic.
That is her friend, J, who was Cogsworth the Clock in Beauty and the Beast
last year. Talented young man...she is hoping that their senior year
they will be Ariel and Eric in the Little Mermaid.
She dreams, that's for sure! Titanic was long, a little tedious at
times, but the kids worked their tails off! Today's final performance
was the best of the weekend. The Fella and his family were there today,
brought my girly 2 dozen roses. They are finally friends!! She hugged
him tonight (long story, mom and dad were the bad guys) because she was
upset and coming down off of musical adrenaline. He was stunned and
kept telling her she was going to be ok while he stroked her hair.
I couldn't even look at them, it was such a personal moment in the
parking lot at Applebees...we were all ignoring them...sort of.
The
Fella's musical is in a month...will post pics then. He and I shared a
couple of smirks over the news that his coach is demanding that he keep
lifting during the off season because big schools have been looking at
him! Pitt, Duquesne, Robert Morris (ok, not as big, but exciting!),
CMU...he had stopped lifting last week after his powerlifting
competition [he can deadlift 515 pounds!] to get some rest with musical
rehearsals. He is lifting in the mornings again now, though! I am so
stinkin' proud of these kids!! Here he is with my youngest in the
lifeboat after the musical was over today, with my 2nd daughter looking
on at two of her 'brothers'.
